Ovenu set to clean up in the US

Ovenu, the UK oven valeting franchise, has continued its global expansion plans with the establishment of a master licence in the United States.

As part of a 20-year master licence agreement it is projected that over the next decade more than 1,000 franchisees will be established in the US, generating hundreds of thousands of pounds a year in success fees and royalties for the Ovenu brand.

The master licencees, father and son team Stewart and Jeffrey Krentzman, have also obtained the licence for Canada, presenting even greater expansion and revenue prospects for the Ovenu service.

This deal marks the awarding of Ovenu’s second international master licence. In March 2005 its franchise model was established in Australia with franchisees initially being recruited in Perth and Western Australia.

Currently four months into a pilot programme in the North East of America, the Krentzmans chose the Ovenu model after an extensive research and due diligence process. Ovenu’s 12-year development in the UK has allowed the service to become easily replicable anywhere around the world.

In addition, Ovenu’s environmentally friendly products all meet the United States strict regulations, which overcome cleaning equipment outsourcing issues.

At the end of the six month pilot Ovenu North America will begin a recruitment drive for its first tranche of franchisees. This group will travel to Ovenu’s training centre in Wokingham, Berkshire to achieve Ovenu franchisee status. It is planned that Ovenu’s training centre operation will also be replicated in the United States.

“I’m truly encouraged by the response we’ve seen so far in the United States,” said Jeffrey Krentzman, Director of Operations, Ovenu North
America. “Customers are warming up to the concept of Ovenu because it’s completely original. In fact, we’ve seen significant demand generated from our press reports and initial marketing activities.

“Our Clients never knew how much their ovens needed a detailing until we arrived. Now we’re enjoying a considerable referral business only after a few months of operation.”

Rik Hellewell, Managing Director of Ovenu, said: “The Ovenu brand is developed to a stage where it can be easily replicated globally. Ovenu North America is in a position to carve a successful niche in an untapped market. With the support of our franchise model the service can quickly spread across the continent, including Canada, and build Ovenu into a world respected operation.

“Global development will allow Ovenu to continue to research its services and develop the brand wider. Worldwide expansion will create a huge network and a hub of ideas we can all benefit from. Despite the success and simplicity of our model we are always open to new ideas and innovations.”

He added: “Awarding a master licence presents the American operation with the autonomy to take the brand forward by replicating our franchise model. It also allows us to continue to focus on our franchisees here in the UK, which is equally important to the ongoing growth of the Ovenu brand.”
