Who We Are

Respond Recruitment is a specialist staffing agency providing temporary and permanent staff across both the healthcare and education sectors. We work with:

Nursing homes, residential care settings, and national care home groups

NHS Trusts across the UK

Mainstream schools, Multi Academy Trusts, and specialist SEN units

We supply a wide range of skilled professionals, including:

Registered Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, and Support Workers

Teachers, Teaching Assistants, and SEND Support Staff

Clinical and non-clinical professionals for NHS placements

A Dual-Sector Model Designed for Stability

By operating in two complementary recruitment sectors, you avoid the seasonal highs and lows that come with single-market businesses.

Healthcare demand typically increases during school holidays, when educational staffing needs slow down.

Education recruitment surges during term time, balancing out periods of reduced healthcare shifts.

This model creates a sustainable, consistent pipeline of revenue and helps you grow without depending on one market alone. Whether term time or holidays — your business stays busy.

National Contracts That Set You Apart

One of the biggest advantages of joining Respond Recruitment is the immediate access to high-value national contracts, secured and managed by our experienced head office team. These include:

NHS contracts giving you access to clinical and non-clinical roles across multiple Trusts nationwide

Supplier status with national care and residential home groups, supporting a wide range of healthcare placements

Approved provider for Multi Academy Trusts (MATs), opening doors to entire networks of schools

Connections with specialist SEN schools and education providers across the UK

Established relationships with public and private sector organisations

These contracts give you a ‘ready-made’ client base in your territory, helping you win business faster and generate revenue from the outset.

No Regulatory Delays

Because we’re a recruitment business — not a care provider or education institution — you are not required to register with CQC or Ofsted before you start trading. This means:

No lengthy registration or inspections

No regulatory delays

You can start billing and earning from day one

We follow the best practice standards of these bodies but are not governed by them, allowing you to grow quickly and compliantly.

Purpose-Driven Business with Real Impact

Owning a Respond Recruitment franchise means more than just building a profitable business — it’s about making a real difference.

Whether you’re helping to staff a care home during a crisis or placing a qualified SEND teaching assistant who transforms a student’s experience at school, your work has immediate, visible impact in your community.

Training & Support Every Step of the Way

We’re not here to run your business — we’re here to help you build it faster, smarter, and with fewer mistakes. Our team has already done the trial-and-error, and we pass that knowledge directly on to you.

Initial Training Includes:

Understanding the education and healthcare recruitment markets

Candidate attraction and client development

Limited company setup, VAT, PAYE, and compliance guidance

Full training in Access Recruitment CRM software

Business administration and finance

Ongoing Support Includes:

You’re never on your own — whether it’s day one or year three.

“We chose Respond Recruitment because of their unique dual focus on both healthcare and education recruitment — something no other franchise opportunity offered. That diversity has been key to our success. The support from head office has been outstanding, and the team is constantly working behind the scenes to secure national contracts that help drive our growth. It’s a model that truly sets you up to succeed.”
– Martha & Ade, Respond Recruitment Milton Keynes

“Unlike many care-related franchise models that require CQC or Ofsted registration — often taking several months — a Respond Recruitment franchise allows you to begin trading immediately. As we focus on the supply of healthcare and education staff rather than delivering regulated services, you can start operating and generating income from day one.”
– Glenn Blythe, Founder and Director, Respond Recruitment

Whilst the level of investment varies among franchises, some are considered to be low initial investment.

With training provided recruitment franchises could be an ideal opportunity to specialise in recruitment, even if you lack previous recruitment experience with training you could be supplying your clients with the talent required to grow their businesses, as you grow yours.

We invite you to browse and enquire the recruitment franchises listed on Franchise UK.

White Collar Franchises

White collar franchises are a leading sector within franchise recruitment. White collar franchise opportunities are often an ideal choice for a franchise seeker wishing to own a business and work alongside other business professionals. These opportunities are usually business to business.

Many white collar franchise opportunities can be home based so the need and expense for office premises can be eliminated, although the level of investment will vary among franchises some have low start up costs.

With training and a highly developed business method for many, a white collar franchise can be an ideal turn key solution for a business profession or anyone wishing to enter the world of business.

Unsurprisingly many franchise seekers attracted to white collar have often risen through the ranks in management posts for large corporations and may find themselves in a redundancy situation or perhaps decide to take early retirement and wish to take control of their lives, income and use the valuable business experience they have gained through their careers.

There are a vast scope of different types of businesses that fall under this genre these include business coaching and mentoring, consultancy, recruitment, cost reduction, accountancy and finance.

This can be both enjoyable and a lucrative area of business. Working as a management consultant is considered by many to be a professional role, if you have a passion for business and are brimming with enthusiasm, the training programmes that many management franchise can provide you with the right skills, techniques and on-going support required for you to operate your franchise.

Care Franchises

Residential Care Homes

According to the UK governments care homes study 30th November 2017 the care homes sector is worth around £15.9 billion a year, with around 410,000 residents. They calculate that there are 5,500 different care service providers in the UK operating 11,300 care homes for the elderly. Approx 95% of their beds are provided by the independent sector (both for-profit & charities ). Government local authorities generally commission care services from independent care providers. On average the cost for a self-funder in 2016 was £846 per week (nearly £44,000 per year), while Local authorities paid around £621 per week.

Domestic Care

UKHCA estimate that total local authority expenditure on domiciliary care services in the UK in 2014/15 was £3.9 billion. As personalisation or self-directed support policy progresses nationally, the uptake of direct payments has increased. UKHCA estimate that totallocal authority expenditure on direct payments in the UK in 2014/15 was £1.5 billion. There has been a trend in England over recent years for NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG) to purchase social care and health services from the independent and voluntary sector. In 2014/15 total CCG expenditure on non-NHS care services was £2.3 billion. At this time we do not have more detailed expenditure analysis available or domiciliary care specific expenditure data. Data on expenditure by people who self-fund their care is sparse. UKHCA estimate that expenditure on domiciliary care by self-funders in 2014/15 was £713 million.

With this very large and apparently growing sector there are many different opportunities to start a business with a domestic & care home franchise, providing care in peoples homes via a home care franchise or domiciliary care franchise or setting up a residential care home franchise business.
