The Krispy Kreme was first launched back in 1937 by Vernon Rudolph in North Carolina, USA, who made doughnuts to sell to grocery shops. He ended up cutting a hole in the wall of his warehouse to sell them directly to passers by who had been enticed by the smell.
Krispy Kreme franchise UK began expanding internationally in 2001 and today more than 70% of Krispy Kreme’s outlets are located outside of the USA and its brand of doughnuts and coffee is recognised and much loved throughout the world. The first UK Krispy Kreme store opened in the exclusive and world-famous Harrods department store in 2003 and now Krispy Kreme doughnuts can be found across the UK. The doughnuts are made fresh every day and delivered to coffee bars, kiosks and self-serve cabinets across the country every morning.
The range includes an ever-changing array of doughnuts – including the signature Original Glazed doughnut and seasonal specials – milkshakes and ice drinks, and a variety of coffee poured by trained baristas.
