Established in 1996, Clothes Aid is a social business enterprise and are the UK’s largest fully licensed, commercial clothes collection company. Working alongside big, small, national and regional charities they have contributed over £9 million to UK charities with the great British public’s donations.
Their business model is tried and tested. By posting collection bags door to door, the public fill the bags, under no obligation, with unwanted good quality clothes and fashion accessories, and leave them for collection. Using this method, more than 45,000 households are able to donate on a weekly basis, hassle-free. The clothes are then sold on to European department stores offering second hand products and Clothes Aid is about to give upto 95% of the profits back into UK charities.
As a low-risk franchised business, after a small initial investment, earning potential is expected to be exceptional with the added benefit of being part of an organisation able to raise £1 Million for UK charities per year. Managing a small team of 2-4 people, each franchisee arranges the distribution and collection of the charity bags in a chosen area. The clothes are weighed and sold to third parties with generates an income with a proportion going to Clothes Aid funds. With ongoing support, Clothes Aid will assist new franchisees with collection licenses and exemption certificates obtained from local Government.
Merchandising Franchises
Think merchandising franchises– think high volume quick turnover sales. Merchandising is big news around the globe. They are many possibilities with a merchandising franchises, from stands in shopping malls, to High Street stores, concessions or online sales.
Merchandising can be a lucrative market, with scope for growth as your franchise becomes more established. Unlike setting up a sales operation from scratch, by investing in a franchise, the supply chain, training and support is already in place. So your business will be up and running in no time.
Whether you would like to retail, gifts, accessories, newspapers there is a merchandising franchise available for most products we need to purchase on a frequent basis.
The trick is finding out what franchises gleam greater customer loyalty and retention. Look for a long term option that will yield well, areas you could consider may be greeting cards for example, this is an essential regular purchase for many of us and with reported sales of £1.75bn spent on greetings card in the UK during 2017 worth some thought.
Whatever area of merchandising you wish to explore, finding an area that you have a genuine interest in, will make for an enjoyable business venture.
