Clive’s Music Franchise

Clive’s Music began life as Clive’s Easylearn Pop Music School when it was first established in 1981. It was created because there was a clear gap in the market where music tuition was concerned and children with a definite ability seemed to have problems maintaining an interest in music, primarily because of the music they were being taught. It wasn’t what they wanted to know about; it wasn’t what they were listening to.

Clive’s Music aims to ensure that children are kept engaged and interested throughout their music lessons and beyond by giving them an insight into the music that they love the most – modern, popular music. They are able to discover how it is written, what goes into playing it and the methods behind the teaching that create such a variety of sounds.

Lessons are taught in groups of up to 12. The children in each group are different ages and of mixed ability to ensure that those who are less able can learn from those who are as well as their teachers. The ratio of two pupils to one tutor, modern and cleverly designed course materials and a great atmosphere all combine to make Clive’s Music an enjoyable and easy to use service. What makes it stand out is the 15 minute jam session at the end of each class – something that all the children look forward to immensely.
