Boogie Beat was formed in 2000 because the founders understood how important music and movement are to a child’s healthy physical and mental development as well as their general well-being. Using music to bring traditional stories to life along with elements of early music education, children are able to get a good grounding in how to hear, use, write and enjoy music from a very early age.
The Boogie Beat classes ensure that children grow in confidence in all aspects of their lives including being able to interact socially with other children and adults and being sure of their own abilities so that they are happy to try new things.
As well as regular weekly classes Boogie Beats runs children’s parties and one of workshops in schools and for groups such as Brownies and Cubs.
The children who are learning through Boogie Beat don’t even realise they are learning, but the lessons that are instilled in them mean that they can be used in all areas of live at home and at school. Parents and children alike love to get involved in Boogie Beat and it is a great way to learn and have fun at the same time.
