Pizza today announced that it has signed on with national and international franchise executives Keven Thomas and Greg George to open their new prototype Parrot Pizza Sports Café model in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Parrot Pizza will be rolling out their new sports café model that will be available to all new franchisees nationwide in the 4th quarter of 2006. Parrot Pizza a national pizza franchisor is a lunch and dinner quick service restaurant concept. The new sports café model will allow Parrot Pizza to market the their brand to middle school, high schools, college and professional sports fans as well families everywhere. The “All Day Approach” of lunch thru dinner allows for stronger sales and more success for their franchisee family. The new store will feature the six sporty Parrot Pizza All Stars with contemporary designs, big screen plasma TV’s and sport related video games. The model is a family oriented as their will be no smoking or any alcoholic beverages served.

Partners in the Parrot Pizza Sports Café are 25 year pizza veteran Kostas Drosos and franchise growth executives Keven Thomas and Greg George owners of The Empire Builders a highly successful national and international franchise development company based in Wilmington.

Parrot Pizza CEO Mark Deloury states“ Greg and Keven came to us with the idea of further expansion in the South and assisted us in development of the sports café model. Their operating partner Kostas Drosos was so excited about the concept he is moving to Wilmington from the Boston area to oversee day to day operations. Their combined passion for Parrot Pizza and their expertise in brand development as well as franchise development are a plus. We are pleased to bring them on board and look forward to their proposed development of multiple locations in the North Carolina market.

Parrot Pizza Sports Café will offer pizza, grinders, seafood, strombolis, wraps, pasta and chicken as well as televised sporting events and video games for kids and adults. The stores hours will be from 11:00 to 9:00 seven days a week. The location is next door to a new “state of the art” indoor batting instruction facility Batter Up. The store is expected to open on October 1, 2006.

Parrot Pizza is a five year old national pizza franchise located in Holden, Massachusetts. Owned by Mark and Ivone Deloury the concept is ten years of development. The concept has an irresistible menu, dine-in, take out and delivery options and combines the lively sporty parrot characters with a strong marketing and branding program. Parrot Pizza is currently in an aggressive franchising mode throughout the United States and Internationally.
