New York Liberty stars Becky Hammon and Barbara Farris will make a fast break from their workout at Madison Square Garden this Thursday, June 22, to ladle out samples of a new chilled summer fruit soup from SoupMan, created in their honour by Al Yeganeh, the infamous soup man who inspired the “Soup Episode” on Seinfeld.

In addition to serving up samples of the new soup, aptly named the “New York Liberty Fruit Cup,” Hammond and Farris will sign autographs from 3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. at The Original SoupMan restaurant, located at 37 W. 48 St. at Rockefeller Centre. Also on hand will be a group of third grade students from PS 125 in Harlem and other student groups from New York City grade schools.

Founded in 1984, legendary soup man, Al Yeganeh, set the standard for delicious, world-renowned soups at his New York City restaurant, Soup Kitchen International. Now, with the international growth of his franchise, The Original Soup Man, Al and his team will give the whole world the opportunity to experience soup as it was meant to be. The company also sells the Original SoupMan soups in Grab-n-Go packages in grocery stores nationwide.
