In 1988 Pirtek entered the UK marketplace and has grown to become the number one provider of fluid transfer solutions and on-site repairs. Specialising in hydraulic hoses, pipe fittings & couplings, Pirtek Europe has service centres and on-site teams working in Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands and the UK.
Pirtek’s mission is to provide the fastest and most convenient service available, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It offers a comprehensive range of fluid transfer solutions, products & services to industries including: Agriculture; Automotive; Construction & Plant Hire; Defence; Environmental; Services; Manufacturing; Marine & Offshore; Material Handling; Mining & Quarrying; Transport & Logistics; Utilities.
The bulk of our work is replacing burst or damaged hydraulic hoses via the mobile service engineers. Each service engineers operates from a mobile workshop where hydraulic hose assemblies can be made on site. Our service promise is to attend urgent jobs within one hour of receiving the job to get the machine up and running and reduce costly and inconvenient downtime.
We only use the highest quality hoses and fittings that have been tested for compatibility and are sourced through Pirtek UK.
Our business model has been long established but Pirtek is committed to on-going and continuous improvement in the service we offer our customers.
What Training Will I Receive?
Pirtek place a strong emphasis on training their network of staff from depot assistant’s right through to Franchisee level with a priority placed on technical & Health & Safety training for its technical staff. The core of our training is based around induction and every member of staff that joins the Pirtek network attend a ten day residential training course at our purpose built National Training Centre which is situated in central Birmingham. The Induction programme is a City & Guilds accredited programme which is a highly intensive programme designed to ensure all of our staff members have the skills to select and assemble Pirtek products and components to the highest level.
In addition a large proportion of the induction programme focuses on Health & Safety standards, our team of NEBOSH qualified trainers ensure that the highest levels of Health & Safety training, instruction and information is imparted to all individuals that attend the programme. With the introduction of live plant and equipment within the training centre we are able to offer real life working experiences for all that attend the programme.
The Franchise Opportunity
Pirtek is a business format franchisee (as opposed to the one-man-van approach) in that you will be managing a team of technicians and support staff. The ability to manage and motivate a team is therefore essential for your success. Together with man management skills our franchisees need to have a thorough technical appreciation of our market.
We now have over 80 franchise operations covering all of the UK and Ireland. All franchise sales are re-sales and any new franchisee will be acquiring an established business with a loyal and well serviced customer base. Our customers cover a wide range of commercial and industrial activity and as such our business is not overly dependent on one business sector.
Many of our franchisees have been trading for over 15 years and the Pirtek business model is well proven. We provide a fast response to customers using top quality products assembled on site by City & Guilds qualified technicians. All of our technicians have been trained at our dedicated Training Centre in Birmingham and all of our operations are accredited to; ISO 9001 (quality management systems), ISO 14001 (environmental management) and OHSAS 18001 (Health and Safety).
As well as providing a mobile service every Pirtek franchise has at least one Centre open to the public where customers can obtain custom made hydraulic hose assemblies and other fluid transfer solution products. The Centre acts as the base for support staff and for holding stock.
Pirtek UK provides comprehensive support to our franchisees through; effective IT and job management systems, industry leading training services, operational and sales field support and national account management.
Pirtek was a founding member of the British Franchise Association and is fully compliant with the bfa code of ethics.
