Franchising Experience
Birkett Long Solicitors provide specialist legal advice to both the franchisor and franchisee. We act for well known franchisors with franchise outlets nationwide. We also regularly advise franchisees about the terms of franchise agreements for well known franchise brands; these include major national high street retailers and franchisors in the printing and distribution industries. We equally regularly advise on lesser known brands. Our team have successfully assisted clients with the purchase of existing franchise businesses, which involves liaising with both the seller's solicitor and the franchisor's solicitor to bring the deal together within strict timescales set by the franchisor. We have also assisted new franchisors with preparation of their franchise or master franchise agreement. Often a franchise business is a client's first opportunity to work for themselves and represents an exciting but nervous time for them. We help ease our client's concerns by providing clear advice (where appropriate in a detailed report) and an efficient service, meeting all imposed timescales and providing copies of all documentation so that clients are always kept up to date.
