A CLEAN BREAK
Stephen and Andrea Bromley were so fed up with working for someone else they decided to make a clean break so they, sourced a franchise, paid a deposit to secure it, rented their house out and then bought a six month round the world ticket. The plan was to start the franchise on their return from their trip.
The first thing they considered was what type of franchise was going to suit them best. They wanted a management franchise, something they could both work at together, something that is going to be in demand, something in the service sector, something outdoors and something within their budget. They took all the necessary advice from the British Franchise Association, the major banks and the normal professional bodies and finally after exhaustive research decided on TruGreen.
After a period of meetings and comprehensive training with TruGreen the Bromley’s first day of business was in May this year and they are already seeing great results in their region of East Lancashire. After following the TruGreen marketing plan results came in far better than they expected.
The prediction for our turnover for the first 12 months was £45,000 but we are now hoping to do nearer £65,000 if not £70,000. Our five year plan is to have a turnover of £300,000 with several employees working for us.
Stephen and Andrea can already see the benefits of becoming franchisees and would definitely recommend TruGreen to others. Stephen say’s although it has taken a lot of effort and hard graft working for ourselves it is so much more rewarding than working for someone else, also we are building a business that will provide equity and income in years to come
