Entrepreneur's success to be shared with customer
Stafford entrepreneur Steve Angell has taken another step towards success, welcoming a new business partner into his professional oven valeting business.
Steve has been operating his Ovenu franchise in mid and South Staffordshire since May 2004, cleaning an average of two ovens per day.
Now, as his business continues to expand, Steve has invited former customer Clive Beardmore to jump onboard.
Clive, 28, has spent the last 13 years working as a team leader in a local shopfitting manufacturing plant. When the factory relocated he was keen to find a new vocation and the ideal opportunity came when he hired Steve to clean his oven.
Clive said: “My wife and I have two young children and like many people we just don’t get the time to do the mundane day to day tasks.
“I was very interested in the valeting service that Steve offered and when the opportunity came along to join him as a sub-contractor I was thrilled.
“I know the amazing results the process can achieve and it’s a great experience to go out there and meet new people.
“My family and I have certainly benefited from the more regular hours and the only downside is that my wife now expects me to clean our oven.”
Ovenu’s environmentally friendly valeting service involves dismantling key components of an oven such as the door, interior panels, fan and shelves and placing them into design-registered equipment which uses non-caustic products to clean the oven parts.
The whole process takes around three hours and leaves the oven, hob and exterior in immaculate condition.
Steve Angell, owner of the Ovenu franchise in Stafford, said; “It’s really great to have Clive on board.
“It’s a testament to the success of the Ovenu service that a customer could be so impressed by the results that they chose to join the company as a result.
