Ovens are sparkling in chester as ovenu reaches its 1 year milestone
A Chester entrepreneur is celebrating a year in business after cleaning more than 500 ovens across the North-West and North Wales region.
Andrew Heaton launched his Ovenu franchise business in January 2005, after spending 15 years working in the bakery trade.
Demand for his specialist service has grown steadily throughout 2005 and now, with the probability of continued growth in 2006, Andrew is looking into setting up a second van to meet the requirements of his expanding client base.
Ovenu Chester’s environmentally-friendly valeting service has been used in homes, social clubs, nurseries and B&Bs across Chester and the surrounding areas, and has even tackled the kitchens of an Army barracks.
The cleaning process takes around three hours, as key components, including the oven door, interior panels, shelves and fan, are all dismantled and cleaned with non-caustic products. The equipment is then reassembled, with the oven, hob and exterior all left in immaculate condition.
Andrew is one of over 100 Ovenu franchisees in the UK and receives continued support from Berkshire-based parent company, Ovenu. The national company serves in excess of 100,000 clients, with an annual turnover in the region of £3million.
Andrew said: “Cleaning an oven is most people’s pet hate, so customers are always very pleased to see.
“They are absolutely astonished by the results I can achieve and are delighted that I can give them an oven that looks like new.
“Many of my customers tell their friends, family and colleagues about my service and these recommendations have contributed a lot to my growing client base.”
