The Home Depot commemorates veterans day by offering a 10 percent discount to U.S. military personnel company expands commitment to military community with Chem-Dry franchise opportunity.
The Home Depot(R), the world's largest home improvement retailer, today announced that the Company is offering all active duty personnel, reservists, retired military, veterans and their families a 10 percent discount off their purchases in honour of Veterans Day. The offer is valid on purchases of up to $2,000 for a maximum of $200 between Nov. 9 and Nov. 12, 2006, at The Home Depot stores, The Home Depot Floor Store(R) locations, The Home Depot Landscape Supply(R) stores and EXPO Design Center(R) locations.
In addition, Chem-Dry(R), the nation's largest carpet cleaning franchise system and a division of The Home Depot, announces its participation in the Veterans Franchise Initiative (VetFran), a program of the International Franchise Association(R), in order to make small business ownership more easily available to those who have served our nation. Through this program, qualifying veterans are eligible for a 10 percent discount off the initial Chem-Dry franchise fee.
"This Veterans Day we will honour the brave men and women who are serving and who have served our country in the military ensuring many of the freedoms and comforts we enjoy each day," said Bob Nardelli, chairman, president & CEO of The Home Depot. "We want to support these heroes as they look to the future, whether it be to improve their homes or in looking for opportunities once they've completed their military service. The in-store discount and the participation of Chem-Dry in the VetFran program are our ways of showing our support and appreciation for their service."
To qualify for the 10 percent discount at The Home Depot stores, individuals must present proof of military service to the Special Services desk at any The Home Depot store, where they will receive a coupon that is redeemable at any cashier's checkout register. Discount coupons are valid on a single receipt, in-store purchase only. Details and exceptions are printed on the coupon.
Both the in-store discount and the participation of Chem-Dry in the VetFran program extend the overall commitment of The Home Depot to supporting the military community.
