CLIX Franchise Has Flashy Opening

CLIX, an Atlanta-based rapidly growing portrait photography franchise continues to focus on national expansion with the opening of its Richmond, Virginia - Short Pump CLIX location. The new portrait studio is located at 4342 Pouncey Tract Road in Glen Allen, V.A., next to Short Pump Mall. The new Studio opens November 13, 2006. The very first Virginia CLIX opened November 6, 2006 in Arlington.
The Mechanicsville, V.A., husband and wife team, Frank and Kristin Richardson, decided to open a photography studio after a disappointing family portrait photography experience at a nearby portrait studio. Frank and Kristin wanted to own a portrait photography business that would provide customers with outstanding service, creative backdrops and props and high-quality photographs.
They researched photography franchisees and when they came across CLIX they knew it was the perfect opportunity to pursue. The Richardson’s were immediately drawn to CLIX’s high energy culture and the company’s commitment to service and delivery of superior products.
First established in 1999, CLIX makes picture-taking exciting while providing high-quality, professional portraits customers can take home the same day. The studio is fun, friendly, hip and now, providing customers in-store portrait photography, special event photography and on-site, do-it-yourself and assisted photo imaging and design centres, which include digital scrap booking and one hour digital photo production.
“When customers walk into CLIX they will immediately notice our upbeat and cheerful environment,” said Richmond CLIX owner, Kristin Richardson. “CLIX makes getting pictures taken fun again and we provide exceptional quality portraits that our customers can take home that very day. Before becoming CLIX franchisees, Kristin spent 15 years in sales and management with Kelly Services and Wachovia Bank. Frank was employed by Capital One for 15 years, where he held various positions including, relationship management, help desk management and IT support. The couple has two children, Emma, 8 years old and Will, 5 years old. The Richardsons are planning to open two more CLIX portrait studios in the Richmond area, one in the next two years and the other within four years.
