Quiznos Franchise Sub Standard Trading

The Connecticut Post reports that succeeding with a Quiznos franchise in the city that hosts Subway World Headquarters hasn't proved to be an easy task.
A Quiznos sandwich shop has closed, along with a West Haven outlet of the Denver-based sandwich chain, a franchisee said on Friday. William Elmore, who owns Milford's only remaining Quiznos shop, at 501 Boston Post Road, said corporate policies, including overhead and cost-sharing structure "are out of whack."
Another Quiznos is doing well on the Boston Post Road in Orange, and the chain has several thriving outlets in area towns, including Bridgeport, he said. Zafoor Badshah, the co-owner of the Broad Street shop, did not return phone calls seeking comment. A corporate spokesman was not available for comment Friday.
"Quiznos' business model, in general, has failed," Elmore said. "Corporate policies need to be changed, and there are some things in the works. But we're doing all right."
