Hair stylist Peter Georgiou is featured in the Wimbledon Guardian today. He told the local paper why he wants all his satisfied clients to know exactly where they can find him. Peter, built up a large clientele while working at Saks in Wimbledon but had to start again from scratch after finding himself out of job when his former boss left the franchise and the salon closed.
He said: "It was such a surprise to all of us. But I went on a number of interviews from the word go. I thought I have to get out there. I can't, not be working.” Peter is now renting a chair at JFM in Wimbledon, just a stone's throw from his previous workplace.
He told reporters: "I'm now running my own business within a business. But I had hundreds of clients and now they won't know where I've gone. It's a dog eat dog world out there in the hairdressing industry."
Stylist to the stars Peter has been cutting hair for nearly 12 years. In that time he has styled the tresses of the Cheeky Girls, Michelle Heaton, Mark Bosnich, Sophie Anderton, Toby Anstis, Sadie Frost, and a number of models at London Fashion Week.”
A spokesman for Saks said that the company is looking for a new franchise to run its Wimbledon branch.
