Franchise Associations work differently across the world. Some as in the UK are independent and self appointed e.g. The British Franchise Association(BFA) and some as in the USA and Australia are regulated directly by the government of the country. All associations, however try to establish close links with both entrepreneurs seeking to franchise their proven business models and the individuals seeking to buy a franchise. The BFA also runs regular seminars fro franchisees and franchisors, franchise exhibitions and other events to help better inform potential franchisees and also to encourage best practice between franchisors.
